Inverroche Distillery as the “Pioneer in the Artisanal African luxury spirits” announced the launch of a short film to celebrate the origins of creativity and capture the essence of storytelling through the exhilarating stories of firsts by four incredible South African pioneers.

Inverroche brand founder, Lorna Scott has developed a reputation for being pioneering through her luxury artisanal gin label, sustainably crafted and proudly African in ethos and resourcing. With the brand gaining global interest, Lorna was moved to partner with and celebrate other pioneering creatives in the African luxury market, which led to the serendipitous development of genuine relationships, a confluence of creativity and – in the spirit of Africans telling African stories – a beautiful short film.

The brand campaign, Pioneers of the Present, challenged the team of moon-shot-thinkers tasked to market it, to seek and partner with creatives who are game changers in their respective fields, who produce luxury quality products and are conscious of sustainability. The film was shot at the brand distillery and its scenic surroundings in Stilbaai, the Cradle of Creativity, over four intensive days of mind-meeting and content creation.

Award-winning ceramist Zizipo Poswa, known for telling compelling African stories through her creations; fashion design doyen, Palesa Mokubung who’s breakthrough deal with H&M was a first on the continent; epicurean intellect Wandile Mabaso, a renowned chef, gastronomy artist and restaurateur; and the collaboration inceptor herself, Lorna Scott. The one thing they all have in common is that they each look beyond materials or concepts in their raw form to create something new and luxurious that the world can benefit from and enjoy.”
