The Parklive Gourmet Food & Music Festival, Joburg’s favourite outdoor music and lifestyle festival, is set take place at Marks Park in Emmarentia on Saturday 5 November

Parklive Festival’s return was launched with the announcement of an impressive live music line-up which has Jeremy Loops, Prime Circle, Just Jinjer and Lee Cole already confirmed to perform on November 5th. The exciting list of live performances continues to grow as Parklive welcomes The One Who Sings (Zolani Mahola) and Amistat (from Australia) to the music line-up.

The One Who Sings (Zolani Mahola) is most famously known as lead singer of the internationally acclaimed South African music group Freshlyground. In 2019, The One Who Sings officially announced the launch of her solo career as a musician, storyteller and transformational speaker. She released her first fully fledged solo single towards the end of 2020 entitled “Remember Who You Are” and in 2021 released her first solo album “Theta Mama”.

Amistat are twin brothers Josef and Jan Prasil from Australia who find themselves in the soundscape of a modern Simon and Garfunkel with influences from the likes of Ben Howard, Kings of Convenience, and Kodaline. Born with the closeness and understanding that only twins could share, Josef and Jan produce a unique synergy through the use of tight-knit harmonies, shaped by an honest, storytelling vocal tone. Amistat is able to communicate their inspirations, drawn from a life on the road, infusing their sentiments, hopes, and ambitions to develop a unique and honest message to their audiences.

There are more acts to be announced for Parklive with two stages hosting music at this year’s festival.

Come hungry as well and enjoy the carefully curated food village consisting of the best the city has to offer in gourmet street food.

For the sports enthusiasts, the Springbok vs Ireland rugby match will be screened at 7:30pm after the live music ends and bars will remain open for the duration of the match.

Gather the friends & family and enjoy the coming summer at Parklive.
