South Africans heading to London this July could be in for a home-grown treat. South Africa’s number one restaurant – and recently-ranked 88 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants extended list for 2025 – Salsify at the Roundhouse, heads to the home of Buckingham Place for a special collaboration with Akoko restaurant.

Taking place over two nights only – Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 July, this collaboration brings together two restaurants with a shared love for the flavours, stories, and terroirs of the African continent. Born from years of conversation, mutual admiration, and creative exchange, the menu is a celebration of heritage, thoughtful and expressive cooking that reflects both our journeys.

Guests will enjoy a one-of-a-kind tasting menu priced at £150 per person, with highlights including coal-roasted oyster with spekboom and ginger, springbok with agave and umfino, langoustine with our signature Moi Moi, and Akoko’s signature Jollof, paired with Salsify’s Karoo Wagyu sirloin and chakalaka. To finish: indulgent desserts such as the Salsify chocolate bar and Bain’s 18-year-old whisky ice cream.

Space is limited and reservations are essential for this unforgettable celebration of African fine dining.
