By Word Of Mouth launches Frozen For You with an event that was equally as enticing as their food. From canapés and Veuve Clicquot with their signature red strawberries to a four-course dinner, this was an evening that tickled more than just our tastebuds.
Seated at an elegant, all-white table, we were served a starter of roasted tomato and basil soup topped with a focaccia shard and fresh salsa. This was followed by a deliciously creamy roasted butternut and pancetta mac and cheese. The highlight was most definitely the main course of marinated beef medallions drizzled with a velvety mushroom sauce and served with minted peas, leeks and dauphinoise potatoes. Dessert was a real treat, tarte au citron, meringue roulade and chocolate yoghurt cake topped with double cream.
It was hard to believe that all four courses were prepared from frozen to showcase the idea that the ‘frozen fresh’ process or ‘nature’s pause button’ as Karen Short (By Word Of Mouth founder) calls it, ensures each meal is as fresh and delicious as the day it was made.
