A powerful night of music, legacy and cinematic scale marks the arrival of a global phenomenon

The City of Gold set the stage for a standout moment on the entertainment calendar this week as the official South African premiere of MICHAEL unfolded at Ster-Kinekor IMAX, Mall of Africa. Bringing together close to 400 invited guests, including celebrities, leading content creators and VIPs, the evening carried the weight and polish of a film already commanding unprecedented global attention.

From arrival to screening, the experience was tightly executed and visually striking, echoing the precision, artistry and cultural significance of the story at its centre. Hosted by Tbo Touch, the event combined stardom with a sense of occasion as guests gathered to witness one of the year’s most anticipated cinema blockbusters.
