The Luxurious Marble Circus returns with more razzle, dazzle and decadent delight
For the glorious guests that visited The Luxurious Marble Circus last year, they may recall that it was a rather Out of the Ordinarious experience.
This October, the festival returns in full force, with more tickets available to the two-day luxuriosa of flamboyant feasting, magnificious music and delightfully dramatic flair. Spectacle seekers can expect more magic, more mischieviosity and more luxurious fun at this year’s event.
Taking place on 4 and 5 October at Ground The Venue in Muldersdrift, The Luxurious Marble Circus brings fine-dining, musical talent, fashion and experiential extravaglamour to South Africa like never before… again.
In true form, the three-story stage remains a fantazmic focal feature but will be over twice the size and thrice the spectacle with more magnificent moments throughout the day. Local and international artists, as well as a host of tantalizing talent will perform, thrilling guests from noon to midnight. Saturday will sizzle with a genre-jumping journey from Disco to Deep House, while Sunday will groove to the golden rhythms of Amapiano, Afro-laced beats and Melodic magicism.
Let the music move you, but don’t forget to explore! While each day spins its own sonic spell, The Luxurious Marble Circus is a wonderland of delights, with sensational surprises tucked into every corner and delightical detours beyond the main stage.
As before, festival grounds are made up of amazifying areas that provide a feast for the senses, tastebuds and mind. Playground in the Field, inspired by Pantry, sees five more menu concepts added to the Tasting Station, an al-fresco foodie affair inclusive of Fancy but Easy favourites such as scrumptious sushi, playful pizza and pregos, salads, soft-serve and even a surprise BBC Food collaboration. A full music lineup promises to add even more flavour to this fabulous foray.
The Uncaged Carousel, a zoomorphic carnival bar inspired by Zioux and in concert with Schweppes, is an artistic icon in the landscape, serving up curious cocktails and terrific talent that can be viewed from the La Vaulta Spectaculum, a trampoline stage with built-in DJ booth and performance areas.
Brand partners once again will host fabulous fantasias in and around Playground in the Field; imaginative and immersive experiences that welcome guests into their worlds. The Johnnie Walker Bar Extravaganza and Veuve Cliquot Vista Veranda promises a sensational sensorium for sipping your favourite spirit, as does Don Julio and the all-new wine bar by Vilafonté and Creation Wines. Investec presents The Wheel of Wonder (a spectacular Ferris Wheel), Savanna returns to the Fantastical Forest, Fabiani is planning a gentleman’s league of leisure, and Heineken brings a Formula 1 fantasy-come-true to the lower lawns.
For those wanting even more of an opulenza, the Marble tents transcendify the experience of Marble and Saint into an extraordinarious outdoor dining experience curated by David Higgs and guest chefs. The Grand Dining room, in collaboration with Moet Chandon and Hennessy, as well as The Royal Lounge, together with Don Julio and Johnnie Walker, offer private tables, exclusive lounge entertainment and vivacious views of the main stage with a more intimate, mingalicious layout. In addition, Grand Dining Room and Royal Lounge vibeists will have access to Serenity Station experiences, offering hair stylists, make-up products, beautifying bedazzling and more.
Something splendifically new is the Luxurious Marble Circus Emporium: A space that will house specially curated Luxurious Marble Circus merchandise and offer fashionistas an opportunity to engage with brand collaborators and works of art and fashion.
