You get Black Mamba: a sustainable brand based in beautiful Eswatini (former Swaziland) that brings you a range of dangerously tasty African chilli sauces, sun-kissed jams, perfect pesto’s, choice chutneys and tantalizing hot honey that look good, taste good and do good.
What started as a side project for Joe and Claudia when cooking a pot of hot sauce from the back of their house, has become a thriving social business that exports Africa’s tastiest chilli sauces around the world, improving the livelihood of dozens of families in Eswatini, empowering women, and becoming a model of environmental practices that put planet first.
At Black Mamba we love to create GOOD food, and for us this means:

The direct positive impact of working with these communities reaches over 1,000 individuals in Eswatini.

One of our core pillars is the belief that we need to be as mindful and respectful as we can with our planet, and this is one of the reasons we partner with Guba Permaculture Training Centre. They share their knowledge of permaculture and regenerative agriculture with all the smallholders that grow our chillies and herbs.
Fair trade
We recently completed the SERRV Better World Partner Audit and received our verified partner certification. Additionally, Black Mamba is a proud member of ESWIFT, the Eswatini Fair Trade network, a member-based organisation providing training, trade, and advocacy for Eswatini-based businesses that abide by fair trade principles.
Vegan & Cruelty-Free
Because our Black Mamba products and processes do not contain any animal-derived ingredients, it allows us to tread very gently on the earth.

Planet-friendly
All of our products are packaged in glass, shipped wrapped in dimple paper (a paper-based, eco-friendly alternative to bubble wrap developed right here in South Africa), packaged in cardboard boxes that are sealed with paper tape and accompanied by notes on seeded paper that you can plant to grow your own herbs at home.
Giving back
When you purchase merchandise from our online store, we donate 10% of the proceeds from the sale to two amazing recipients on your behalf -the Eswatini Antivenom Foundation and the all-female Black Mamba antipoaching unit. These organisations both do amazing work, and we are proud to support their causes.
